What are the issues?
When I am talking to people the same issues seem to arise. They want to know my opinion on these topics. I do my best to remind people that an MP that actually follows the will of her constituents is bound to do what is important to them. Therefore, my opinion should be irrelevant as I take my lead from the people of Northumberland-Clarke. What is relevant is that I find convenient and effective avenues to make your voice heard. Yet, people still want to know how I would approach parliament on your behalf. Here is my stance on the most common concerns. I am proud to say that all of my statements have not been created using A.I.
Government Issues
All major federal problems can be traced back to one issue. Government corruption. There is no longer any credible accountability in government. Most of the concerns I hear are symptoms of a bigger problem. The big issues are often used as a distraction to keep the Canadian people from focusing on the real problems.

There is a big difference between good stewardship of the environment (which I support) and “Climate Change”. The way we have always approached science has changed in the last decade. Until recently, we understood some very basic things.
1. The science is never “settled”. It is constantly evolving as new information is added.
2. If scientific studies benefit the people or corporations that finance the study ….that study cannot be trusted.
3. The entities that try to shut down scientific debate are hiding something.
These former basic red flags have now become the normal scientific approach with our current government. One of the companies that stand to gain the most from current climate science is Brookfield Asset Management…Mark Carney’s company. In his book Value(s), Mark Carney uses questionable science to justify his position. There is a growing number of scientists that are finding the courage to speak out against the government’s “settled” science. Friends of Science do an excellent job of breaking down climate science as well as calling out the false science. You can visit their site here, FriendsOfScience.org -
Fixing the economy is a complex problem. It will not be fixed if we leave it to the government. See my stance on corruption on my home page.
Fixing the economy begins with educating the public on the basics of national economics. When Canadians are educated properly they can demand effective change. I will endevour to put the power back into the hands of Canadian citizens by establishing a training system for those people who want to know how national, NOT POST NATIONAL , economics work. -
When it comes to education everyone in government likes to shift the blame. The federal Minister of Education says that the responsibility lies with the provinces. Yet, we have a federal Minister of Education. There must be some level of influence in that position otherwise it is just federal fat that needs to be trimmed. I cannot promise to be able to address educational issues on a national level, but I can hear your concerns. When I am not in Ottawa I will be available to attend school board meetings to support parents in ensuring a vibrant healthy educational program that prioritizes growing a child’s knowledge in science, math, languages, arts and physical education.

I am still talking with farmers. Statement coming today.

This is the ONLY major issue that we need to address during the election.
When you are talking to a sitting MP at an event or a debate in ANY riding. It is YOUR responsibility to ask them three questions.
1. Which of your colleagues are among the 11 traitors to Canada?
2. How can I make an informed voting decision when I do not know if I am voting for someone that has committed treason?
3. Why have you stayed silent on this?
If you do not ask these questions, you are giving your sitting MP permission to continue to break the highest law in the land. You are also complicit in protecting criminal activity. -
This is one of my key mandates from the people of Northumberland Hills. See my HOME PAGE

Bill C-21, like many other bills that have recently passed through the house, should never have gone through. The current government spends so much time focusing on the symptoms and not the problems that I am starting to think they are a pharmaceutical company. Violent crime is the problem, guns have never been the problem. Canada has always been home to one of the safest gun communities in the world. Legal gun owners have always shown their commitment to safety and responsibility. So, if legal gun owners are not the problem, then who is? To date, illegal guns are still in the hands of criminals. The gun ban has done nothing to reduce gun crime. This frustration was loudly mirrored on X by the Toronto Police Association.
If you watched the senate impact study meetings on CPAC then you would have seen that the Liberal government did not do an economic impact study and failed to discover the gun ban costs us almost 2 Billion dollars annually in lost tourism dollars.
If you watched the senate impact study meetings on CPAC you would have seen that the Liberal government ignored a poll that showed 75% of it’s OWN MEMBERS were against the gun ban.
The gun legislation also gives the police the ability to enter your home and seize property without a warrant. If you know your history then you know why this is not good for Canadians.
In summary, if the current gun legislation does not cut down on illegal gun violence, the Liberals had no support, and it’s bad for the economy, then we have to start asking why this bill went through. The answer is that it should not have. The senate and the privy council are there to stop bills that aim to exist outside of our Charter of Rights. Illegal search and seizure falls into that category and should never have made it to the house. -
Health Care is a provincial / federal issue. As much as provincial, or better yet, local governments should be left to determine what is the best course of action for their local residents, there also needs to be federal protections put in place. The federal government need to remove the red tape that makes it difficult for medical professionals to move to other provinces. This way, when health care is being mis-managed the response will be a swift drop in personnel. This will demand an immediate change in course.
There needs to be federal whistle blower protections put in place for those health care professionals that speak out against a corrupt system.
We also have to increase our education response to show how much good health is tied to good nutrition. We need to start asking the bigger questions like,
“Why is the food product that goes from farm, to factory, to marketing, to packaging, to advertising, to distributor, to shipping to wholesaler, to store, to table much cheaper than the food item that goes straight from farm to table?
When we support our farmers and make healthy food less expensive than processed food, the health care system will be less burdened and, therefore, more manageable. Finally, there is currently a threat to your private medical records. The government is demanding that your records be share-able with, not only the Canadian federal government but with international governments and foreign non-governmental organizations. They are pushing for a “one size fits all” system under Bill C-293. (Currently halted until session resumes).

I addressed this in the economy tab. I believe the same solution applies. A majority of Canadian citizens are not properly educated when it comes to the Canadian economy. This is in NO WAY to say that Candadians are stupid. The economy, the budget, Canadian banking and most national financial topics are blatantly shrouded and convoluted to the public. When you add being overworked, overwhelmed, distracted and tired to the problem, you are left with a vast majority of people who no longer have the time nor the stamina to learn their way out of a bad situation. One suggestion is for the people that know about economics is to create simple bite sized teaching videos to help those of us that need to learn. For a crash course in global banking you can visit the Solari Report . It is not Canadian based but you will gather a massive amount of information.
The main reason for heavy taxation is an overwhelming amount of debt. Our current debt load under the Trudeau government has grown to such massive proportions that we cannot tax our way out of it. Yet they keep trying as they keep spending. -
We do not have a housing problem. We have economic, infrastructure, government corruption and immigration problems. If we fix the other problems we fix the housing problem.
Building more tiny housing on government owned land without fixing the problem is like pumping air into a leaky tire. It doesn’t fix anything … but it does help grow government. -
First and foremost, we need to clarify the debate. When people were first pointing out the immigration problem they were accused of being ‘“racist”. That is like saying because you have concerns about our healthcare system, you hate doctors.
It is a divisionary and distracting argument. Canada was built by immigrants who invested in Canada. Our strength came from the respectful blending of many cultures that came together to form a Canadian national identity.
Canada used to limit the amount of immigrants that were allowed to enter our country for good reason. Too much burden on the infrastructure leads to the break down of systems, such as health care (emergency rooms closing all across the country), crime (rates on the rise- police no longer dealing with petty crime), housing (houses are unaffordable for a majority of Canadians) . Much of this has already been evidenced.
Responsible immigration must be implemented immediately, which includes the immediate deportation of non-citizens that commit a crime. -
We can all agree that crime is on a steady incline. There are many factors contributing to why. 1. a soft on crime approach that allows repeat offenders back on the street with a slap on the wrist. 2. Government appointed judges and chiefs of police that follow the political agenda of the time versus the law. 3. Focusing on peaceful dissent of government issues instead of violent criminals 4. Increased illegal immigration with no respect for Canadian Law 5. Inconsistent 2-tiered policing system 6. The lack of support for mental health issues.

My stance on this may shock you, but there was a time when people saw tariffs as a good thing. Companies that wanted to do business with Canada would pay a tariff. The tariffs would pay for our infrastructure. The cost on infrastructure would not be paid by income tax. During World War I federal income tax was implemented as a “temporary measure”. When free trade agreements were signed, the majority of tariffs disappeared, along with our jobs, and income tax was cemented forever.
Trump is doing what is best for his country and at the same time has announced his intention to abolish income tax.
Trump has also stated that he will drop the tariffs if Canada secures its border. Instead, our government engages in a trade war and sells it to the public using fear tactics. Why are we not addressing the border issues? Our government would rather start a trade war it cannot win.
Societal Issues
Many social issues are currently being discussed. It is concerning that the lines between government responsibility and social responsibility have been so heavily blurred. It is important to remember that when we give governments the permission to engage in social engineering at a time when we agree with them, then these powers will remain when we are controlled by a government we do not agree with. It is always best to make sure the governments stay in their lane and out of our homes; and ensure they stick to matters of defending our nation, growing a prosperous economy and maintaining a stable infrastructure.

This is a hot button issue and it covers a lot of current contentious topics.
Freedom of choice over bodily autonomy includes medical choices in the areas of abortion, MAID (Medical Assistance in Dying), gender affirming care, vaccination, or any other medical intervention.
The government has no right to control what you can and cannot do with your body.
I will say this in all caps. THIS DOES NOT MEAN I AGREE WITH EVERY PROCEEDURE. I am not in favour of abortion for convience, I am not in favour of gender affirming care for children, I am not in favour of many aspects of MAID but I will fight for a Canadian’s right to choose. I am constantly reminded that free will is a gift from God even though I don’t agree with the way that free will is exercised at times. -
Hate speech: The alternative to free speech is government approved speech. I am not in favour of government deciding what we can and cannot say, read, or watch. I am offended by the notion that our government believes we should be treated like children that cannot decide for ourselves what we want to listen to, debate, or ignore.
Mis/Disinformation: A lot of the disinformation has been inflicted on Canadians by our own government and media outlets. Canadians should never be comfortable with letting any government dictate what is or is not the “truth”. Whether you are left or right leaning, ask yourself if you would be comfortable with “the other side” controlling what you can say, see and hear as well as deciding the truth for you. When governments censor their citizens they stifle the growth and evolution of that society in an effort to maintain control and power.

Canada and its citizens are in the middle of an identity crisis. in 2014, Justin Trudeau ran on the platform that he wanted to make Canada a “post national state”, as outlined in his interview in the New York Times. In order to create a post national state one must first destroy that state’s national identity. This is done by demoralizing and dividing its citizens. We have seen the systemic erosion of our national identity taking place in this country for a decade.
There is also an attack on personal identity. This has come in many forms, degrading parental rights, lockdowns that destroyed careers, and misleading children and adults to believe that gender is an important part of anyone’s identity. The reduction of one’s purpose, destiny, superpower, and valuable place in this world down to how they feel about their genitals should be considered a predatory act.
We need to get back to helping one another find our true purpose in this world. Out of which, comes an identity with true meaning.

I am very passionate about the local farm / food industry. I attended a town hall meeting recently that sought to re-zone and develop ALR land. I was shocked to see how many people turned out. There are a massive amount of people that have great concerns about farm land security. Protecting farmers and food will be a top priority for me.

I am still forming my statement on this. I will update this section in a day or two. I did not understand how much of an issue this was until I began to walk the streets of Port Hope. I need some time to talk to people to really understand the core concerns they have. Please watch for my statement later this week.

Small business is the life blood of the Canadian economy. Without small businesses Canada will cease to exist. I know this, you know this, and your government knows this. Yet, they saw fit to shut down small businesses in 2020. The “science” they expected us to follow was that COVID did not exist in big box stores and corporations. The government also told small business owners that they were not responsible enough to follow the same protocols that were given to the big box stores. Mark Carney has publicly stated that he will invoke the Emergency Measures Act to fight the tariff war with the US. If that means another lockdown, you will need an MP that will ACTUALLY fight for you.
I will be adding to this section as I talk to more people. Contact me to talk about any issues not seen here that need to be addressed.
